The 2019 European Rising Star Award for Plasma Spectrochemistry, sponsored by the Agilent Technologies with an amount of 4000 EUR.

The prize, which promotes outstanding contributions of an upcoming young scientist at the beginning of his/her career within the field of plasma spectrochemistry, will be presented at the European Winter Conference on Plasma Spectrochemistry in Pau, France on February 3, 2019. The previous laureate was Johanna Irrgeher (2017).

The 2019 Rising Star Award winner is Dr. Magdalena Matczuk from the Technical University of Warsaw, Poland. The research of the laureate is focused on the application of hyphenated techniques for investigations of in-vitro processing of theranostic metal-based nanomaterials or anticancer metallodrugs.
