Dr. Ishai Dror is a senior staff scientist in the department of Earth and Planetary Sciences, of the Weizmann Institute of science Rehovot, Israel. Dr. Dror’s scientific activity focuses on investigating the transport, interaction and degradation of contaminants in water and soil environments. More specifically, his research integrates the study of transport and reactivity of contaminants in soil and groundwater systems, investigation of degradation/transformation of soil and water pollutants using new, environmentally-friendly methods, and the impact of contamination on the soil environment and the rapid changes it imparts on processes that usually evolve on geological timescales.
