About the Conference > History of the Conference

The European Winter Conference on Plasma Spectrochemistry is a wll established series of successful meetings. They are organized in uneven years by European research groups working in the field thus alternating with the US conferences organized by Ramon Barnes in even years.

The first EWCPS took place Leysin, Switzerland in 1985 and the EWCPS 2019 in Pau, France will be the 18th event of this series. The complete of the EWCPS meetings and their chairpersons is given below.
